Jedno vrijeme sam se dopisivao s njime u nadi da će baš on sponzorirati ovaj forum. Tražio sam da mi pošalje 10 svojih knjiga u zamjenu da ga dobro izreklamiram na forumu. Knjige bih onda podijelio u nekoj nagradnoj igri koju sam mislio organizirati na forumu. To mi nije prošlo, odobrio mi je 40% popusta na tu količinu knjiga. To je naravno bilo vrlo povoljno, ali je dostava iz amerike strašno skupa, tako da kad bih pristao na to, za tih 10 knjiga bih opet platio isto kao da ih kupujem (bez popusta) na ovom gore sajtu. Uglavnom, treba ipak istaknuti kako je gospon Toby bio vrlo susretljiv prema nama, ali eto, nije prošlo.

Znači, knjiga zaista jest najbolja koju sam ja čitao, ima vrlo lijepi uvod u permakulturu, pa dizajniranje biljnih zajednica, i na kraju dizajn jestivih šuma. Na kraju knjige je vrlo opsežan popis korisnih biljaka sa detaljima poput klime u kojoj uspjevaju, za što s ukorisne itd.

Što se tiče engleskog, ja ga dosta koristim ali kad sam počeo proučavati permakulturu, sve mi je bilo teško jer se ipak radi o jednom vrlo specifičnom vokabularu. Čitao sam i istodobno imao google prevoditelj ispred sebe, i mislim da sam na svakoj stranici (bilo koje knjige) morao prevesti bar 10-ak riječi, a ako se radilo o popisu biljaka onda i puno više. Čovjek na taj način jako puno nauči, i to jako brzo.

Mislim da je kod nas jako popularna tema šumskih vrtova. Pročitao sam nekoliko knjiga iz ove kategorije, neke možda samo prelistao, i mislim da ovdje nema smisla govoriti o najboljoj ili manje dobroj. Ako čitate autora iz amerike, možda ćete teže naći biljke koje spominje nego da čitate nekoga iz europe. Ako čitate autora iz australije, problem je različita klima. Neki se autori više koncentriraju na vrlo male vrtove, drugi se ne ograničavaju na taj način i njihove su knjige primjenjive i kod vrlo velikih područja. evo sastavio sam neku svoju listu prijedloga koje bi se knjige mogle uvrstit u ponudu sa naznakom na raznovrsnost tema a ne samo ograničavanje na poljoprivredu i nešto malo arhitekturu. lista jeste malo opširnija, ali nekako mi se čini da su sve te stvari podjednako bitne pa nisam ništa mogao da izbacim. sve knjige inače posjedujem u pdf obliku pa ako neko bude nešto želio nek se javi na mejl. neke oblasti sam nažalost izostavio jer mi nisu sve knjige na kompjuteru zbog manjka prostora - prije svega samoodbrana i oružje, ali dopuniću sigurno kad dođem do njih, jer su ove oblasti takođe jako bitne.....
